;D Thank you all for this very nice welcome! ;D

I am sorry, I can not read the kyrillic answers and google-translator for Russian-German is terrible. ???
I know coming to EU is not easy doing for you, but if some of you would do, I am sure we will be able to create a meeting when you are here, End of June or in September for "Oktoberfest" in Munich. I am quite sure that communication will be possible even before 3 Liters of BAVARIAN BEER. :D
Be careful, may be it will do same effect like one bottle of Vodka for 15 Germans. :D :o  ::) By the way, I am living not far away from "Oktoberfest" :D  and Bavaria is a really nice region... ;)
About the Vodka.... let´s say we were not 15 men, but 5 or 6 and we did not only drink Vodka... :D
But really this Nemiroff Honey-Chili Vodka is devils stuff... :o ???

I am really happy about that contact to our Russian colleagues and big thanks to Natalia, with out her, no chance! ;)

We have a Explorer Club in Germany too, the E.O.C.E. (Explorer Owners Club Europe) it has not directly to do with our board, but may be a invitation of this club will help for Visa.

:D Vodka after 3 liters of beer is very cool. But in Russia we prefer another way: Firstly 3 liters of vodka, after that few liters of beer (recomended for 3 persons). :D
By the way, about your plans visiting Russia. From my point of view the best way is by sea. Few ships going from Germany to Finland or to Estonia. From there only half day driving to Saint-Petersburg. After stopping in St.-Petersburg 8-10 hours driving to MOSCOW.
And exuse my please about my english? I'm too lazy for use vocabulary. :D

Vovussia, you make our German friends scared! Don't tell all the secrets - let them be surprised! :D :D :D

Sam 64

Ha ha :D :D :D
Sorry guys, don´t forget... I have been 2 times in Ukraine... so it needs a little bit more to scare me 8) ::)

Thank you for the suggestion of route, sounds good. ;)

Don´t worry about your English, as long as we understand each other, evrything is fully ok! ;)

Sam 64, Can you please tell us about motor oils in Germany. Now we have a lot different brands from germany, but i'm not sure about quality. What brands of oil you use for XP and what can you say about oils like "Ravenol", "MTD", "Suprema".

Sam 64

I can say many of us are using Ravenol and are happy with it.
More important than motor oil is transmission oil, only Mercon V for transmissions (it is red). And transmission oil should be changed all 40.000km! I tell this, because FORD Germany is saying, you never have to change... this is stupid and nonsense and it will damage transmission for sure! I don´t know what Ford Russia is telling about that?
For motor oil ... if it has fitting specifications, it is ok (except cheap oil from supermarket).

By the way, many of us have problems with the chains of engine in the 4.0 SOHC. I heard that they improved a bit with FE3 and FE4, but it is more or less the same engine with 4! chains in it. Are there some problems too?

Thank you for your message. From German oils many russians prefer Castrol and Liqui Moli, for us this brands means premium quality.
Sorry. I can't say anything about 4.0 motors, but I hope other participants will tell You about it.
And about transmission oil. Ford recomendations for change: 300000km. :D But for heavy exploitation cars it's about 60000km.
When I had troubles with my gearbox I used original Ford fluid, but other day I saw products from Liqui Moli and they recomends me Top Tec ATF 1200 with MerconV specifications.
Next time I will change transmission oil I will think about it.  :D

Sam 64

Yes Castrol or LM is in Germany also premium quality! But as we can tell this great engines also can "eat" not only premium oil.
But they don´t like transmission oil without Mercon V specifications, something like ATF3.
:D :D :D 300.000km intervall for changing transmission oil! I think you will not need, because transmission will die much earlier! :D :D :D
FORD USA must be stupid, or why do they recommend 40.000km interval? Or 20.000km for heavy duty cars? Ahh I know... they are selling enough Explorers, so they don´t need to sell many transmissions! :D :D :D ;)

I'm sure they want to sell more new cars. And they have no interest in long life of such thing as a transmission. :D

Вполне вероятно в Ноябре посетим Мюнхен.
Едем в Австрию, правда дней маловато :(.

Правда не владею языками   ??? , ::) .

Quite possibly in November we will in Munich.
We go to Austria, the truth of days is not enough.

Ghost, не поймите меня неправильно: невладение языками - не порок. Но уж коли не владеете - и не пишите тогда на этих языках. Перед немецкими коллегами неудобно.
