A big hello from German explorer-board!
I am sorry that I can not write or read Russian (may be in some years)
So, explorer4x4.de has been contacted by Vladimir, vsh61.
Because Russian email accounts are blocked (sorry... spam) he could not register, but he contacted a member of our board via email and this member posted his request. He sent us some links from your board and we could watch some of your events.
We are very glad about that contact and "offroad country" already told you something about our response. With her help I could register me yesterday and now we have possibility to communicate directly.
It´s great to have contact with explorer drivers of other countries. By the way, you are lucky that you can buy actual explorer from dealer. In Germany official imports were stopped in 2001.
So most of our members are driving FE1 or FE2, now old cars, but we love them and we take care about them.
Thank you for your support of our members if they should be in Russian territory... the same for us, any member of your board will have full support if he is in Germany and can rely on our help and hospitality.
We already have a thread called "Moskau 2012"
Why 2012? Because most of our members already had planned their vacation for next year.
But we would like to invite you to our, let´s say, biggest meeting next year, it will be end of June.
It would be great to see some Russian explorers...
There is enough place for camping and rooms can be organized too.
Don´t be afraid about some jokes... we have good sense of humor, just like you!
Ok. may be I should tell something about me... my name is Sam, I am 46 and I am driving FE2 from 97. Mileage is now 270.000 km with first engine and first transmission.
He has no easy life with me, because I like travelling and I like going offroad.
So he is slightly modified for this. A gas system is applied, so it´s cheap driving.
It is the best car I ever had.... and I had a lot.
We have been two times in Ukraine and soon we will start for the third trip.
So I know Ukrainian roads...
(I hope Russian roads are better)
Ok... now I will add some links:
